Terms & Conditions
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER. Please do read through the terms and conditions as these form the basis of your contract.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
For celebration cakes a 50% payment is required to secure the booking, this payment is non refundable. Balance is payable on collection.
For wedding cakes a £100 booking fee is required, this payment is non refundable. Final balance payment is required 4 weeks before the wedding date. If final balance payment is not received, a reminder will be sent and if no further payment is made we will consider the order cancelled and the deposit lost.
FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER
Jayne's Cakes is NOT an allergy-free kitchen. We recognise the seriousness of food allergies and cannot guarantee that our products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies therefore we recommend that you discuss any allergies that you or your party may have prior to booking. We reserve the right to decline any orders for clients with serious food allergies.
Jayne's Cakes use the following ingredients in our kitchen:
Milk and other dairy products
Eggs
Nuts: peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, cashews, coconut
Wheat and gluten
Soya
COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Collection of order is free. Delivery charges will be discussed at time of ordering.
TRAVELLING WITH THE CAKE
Cakes should be placed on a flat surface, either in the boot or the foot well of the car. Please DO NOT travel with the cake on the car seat as the slant of the seat may cause damage to the cake. Please take extra care when driving with a cake. Jayne's Cakes cannot take any responsibility for damage to cakes when collected and transported by the customer.
STORAGE
All cakes should be stored at room temperature in the box provided. Please ensure they are kept out of direct sunlight.
NON EDIBLE ITEMS
Some of our cakes will contain inedible items i.e. dowels, supports, wires in sugar flowers, posy pics. The customer will be advised of any inedible items and it is their responsibility to ensure the removal of these items before consumption.
OUR PRODUCTS
All of our products are made by hand and therefore individual. All photos, illustrations and descriptions are for guidance purposes only.
CHANGES TO ORDER/CANCELLATION
Jayne's Cakes understands that situations sometimes change which may result in you wishing to change your order. Please contact us as early as possible to ensure any changes can be actioned. Any changes may be subject to costs depending on the design details.
If you need to reschedule the date your cake is required we will endeavor to accommodate.
If you wish to cancel your cake please remember your booking fee is non refundable.
Cancellation by Jayne's Cakes: we shall not be liable for any failure to perform where such failure or delays results from any circumstances outside of our reasonable control including but not limited to any fire, flood, explosion, accident, adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, mechanical breakdown, riot, act of war, terrorism, act of God.
